We are very proud of the Israelites who ran in marathons for worthy causes during the month of October. Amoz Lewi and Anah Lewi, the children of Uzziel Lewi, represented Sh’ma Yisrael congregation and the Israelite community in the “Bedford Stuyvestant 10K Race” on October 12, 2014. Amoz (14) came in first place in his age bracket.
Phenomenal Israelite Women ran in the Cancer Awareness Day Walk on October 19, 2014. This walk was sponsored by the American Cancer Society. Many of our Israelite participants walked in memory of Queen Ashirah Naphtali ע״ה
